Monica Wolf, Ashley Barnes, and their team are the proud owners and operators of The Blending House, a cutting-edge whiskey blending, bottling, and storage facility located in the heart of Louisville, Kentucky.
Established in April 2021, The Blending House was created to offer select non-distilling producer (NDP) brands a premier storage and production space, eliminating their dependence on third-party facilities. With third-party bottling becoming increasingly difficult due to delays and inconsistencies, the need for a dedicated facility became clear.
Monica’s years of consulting in the spirits industry led her to a partnership with a family-owned construction company and its in-house engineering team, who had developed an innovative rickhouse system. Recognizing the industry's shortage of barrel storage options, Monica saw an opportunity for change. This vision came to life through a joint venture with The Koetter Group, a company sharing the same values of integrity, respect, and partnership, setting the stage for lasting success.
Spanning 108 acres, The Blending House is home to seven rickhouses and a state-of-the-art blending and bottling facility. Together, Monica and Ashley are preserving whiskey-making traditions while driving innovation and excellence, paving the way for a future grounded in craftsmanship and heritage.
