Our Story
With years of experience working behind the scenes alongside some of the top bourbon companies in the industry, Monica Wolf has mastered both the art and science of the trade.
Monica’s extensive consulting experience in the spirits industry led her to collaborate with a family-owned contruction company, who had developed an innovative rickhouse system with its in-house engineering team.
Recognizing the industry’s shortage of barrel storage solutions, Monica saw an opportunity for change.
This vision became a reality through a joint venture with The Koetter Group, a company that shares the same values of integrity, respect, and partnership – laying the foundation for long-term success.
Master Blender
Our Master Blender – Ashley Barnes
Ashley Barnes trained with the bourbon legends at Buffalo Trace and Four Roses Distilleries. At Buffalo Trace, she built a foundation of quality control, efficiency, and consistency.
It was at Four Roses that she began honing the art of the blend, creating flavor profiles to target customer tastes and analyzing how the different points in the blending process influence a finished product.
She now leads the lab at The Blending House, producing exceptional blends for premier spirits labels. The Blending House aims to educate newcomers and seasoned bourbon enthusiasts on the art of the blend.
Together, Monica and Ashley are preserving whiskey-making traditions while driving innovation and excellence, paving the way for a future grounded in craftsmanship and heritage.
